About James Flemming, DDS
A native of Tennessee, Dr. James Fleming was born in the city of Columbia and attended Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Dr. Fleming then went on to study at The University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry where he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
To keep his knowledge of dentistry up to date, our Nashville dentist is a strong advocate of continuing education. He regularly attends courses in Cosmetic Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, Implants, Endodontics, and General Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Fleming also maintains various active memberships in the field.
On his free time, Dr. Fleming and his lovely wife Cheryl enjoy spending time with their two sons, Mac and Swope. You’ll often find them spending quality time together, partaking in activities such as boating, hunting, fishing, and spending time on the family farm.

Our family loves Dr. Fleming and all the employees of his office! We are all patients there- with a wide range of dental issues and needs. The receptionist in front is always warm and welcoming. We all see different hygienists and they are all very professional and kind to our boys. I would highly recommend anyone to Dr. Fleming- if you just need cleaning and maintenance or a root canal and a crown, he is wonderful!
